While I have experience with a number of Unices (and other OS's), I've settled on Fedora Linux as my preferred OS. For my desktop, I use Windowmaker, for my editor, VIM. I can program in a number of languages, but these days I tend to use C or Perl. If you're interested, here are some snapshots of some of my dotfiles, made 20 Aug 2005:

• .vimrc - includes some keybindings from IBM's old "E" editor
• .bashrc
• .Xdefaults
• .inputrc
• .indent.pro - about as close as GNU indent can come when it comes to my indent style
